Supply air Fan Coil Plenum Box
- Lightweight 3mm ABS construction means the product can be completely recycled
- Three times thicker than galv, over one hundred times better at insulating
- Internal flange fixed through the spigot holes means 200mm diameter spigots can be fitted to super slim systems where needed.
- No sharp corners means safer handling
- Designed to keep air pressure losses to a minimum
- Spigots can be left blank
- Insulated option with 3mm closed cell foam giving a dust free built in vapour barrier - Class 0 to BS476, thermal conductivity 0.034 W/M.k, ODP/GWP of zero.
Return / Air Intake Filter FCU Plenum Box
- NEW The majority of our return air filter plenum boxes are supplied with our purpose made installation frame. This allows both side withdrawal of the fan coil air filter or quick release of the whole plenum box.
- Alternatively, we will supply a plenum box with fixing brackets to allow quick release of the plenum box for filter access. Both systems use the air filter supplied with the air con ducted unit and allow easy maintenance access to the fan chamber.

A Typical Supply Air Discharge Plenum Box
Shown here is a supply air plenum box for the Mitsubishi Electric PEFY-P20VMA with two 200mm diameter spigots.
Why are the spigots not central?
Because air from the Mitsubishi ducted fan coil unit does not discharge from all of the supply air spigot. The internal electrical control panel restricts airflow on one side of the unit. To ensure maximum system efficiency, Linwood have designed their plenum box to overcome this.
Can I have just one spigot?
Yes, we can supply one of the spigots blank. But be careful - reducing the amount of ducting will increase system velocity and could increase noise levels and reduce the systems overall efficiency.
Will blocking part of the spigot affect airflow?
Our design allows 200mm diameter spigots to be fitted to the fan coil unit whose opening height is only 184mm. The spigots are therefore blocked by 16mm. This is less than 5% of the total spigot area and in any case is two duct lengths from the air outlet of the FCU.
